This BC Rail C40-8M hauls lumber to North Vancouver, British Columbia.  The air is crisp on this fall morning as we hear the train making its way down the line.  BC Rail played a key role in serving the forest products industry of British Columbia and is part of today's Canadian National Railway.

Chicago, Burlington and Quincy 11"x17" Poster by Andy Fletcher

This Chicago, Burlington and Quincy train heads west at Fort Collins, Colorado.  Today's train is headed for Denver.  Quite a few cars on this train are on their way for the Rio Grande Railroad, where they will make their way to Salt Lake City and even to interchange to the Western Pacific for West Coast destinations.

 A Lehigh Valley C628 Alco locomotive moves a general merchandise train from Oak Island Yard to Buffalo, New York.  As this train moves, autumn is in the air.  The winds of change are blowing throughout the Northeast, as many railroads, such as Lehigh Valley, are about to join Conrail.

 This Missouri-Kansas-Texas FP7 moves hopper cars at a grain elevator in Kansas City.  Today's train will head on its way to Muskogee, Oklahoma. The Missouri-Kansas-Texas was affectionately known as "The Katy."
