Western Maryland Locomotives at Cumberland, Maryland

These Western Maryland locomotives move their trains at Cumberland.  An F7 and GP40 head north to Connellsville, Pennsylvania while the SD40 and GP7 head to the coal mines at Elkins, West Virginia.  The GP35 and another F7 head to Baltimore.  Visit Western Maryland Scenic Railroad in Cumberland.  Western Maryland is part of today's +CSX

A Western Maryland Train at Hagerstown, Maryland

A Western Maryland train makes its way through Hagerstown, Maryland.  Its three locomotives power loaded coal hoppers for Port Covington.
Western Maryland was a favorite railroad throughout Appalachia.  Western Maryland was a member of the Alphabet Route.
