This Milwaukee Road dead freight behind an SD40-2 heads west at Harlowton, Montana. The Milwaukee Road lines west, sadly, ended too soon in this writers opinion. Forged in an era where rail traffic density began to fade, these lines across the Midwest and the Rockies never quite lived up to the expectations of their namesake Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific.
