This Monon NW2 switch engine builds a train bound for Louisville in the Indianapolis yard. Today's train has carloads from Elgin, Joliet & Eastern and Chicago Burlington & Quincy from Chicago, as well as cars for the Louisville and Nashville.

A Monon C628 Leads a Chicago Bound Train at Monon, Indiana

A Monon C628 heads a general merchandise train through Monon, Indiana.  Its train is bound for Chicago from Louisville.  Today's train has a string of coal hoppers from the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.  Monon is part of today's CSX.
